Venetsanos Winery Mandilaria
Venetsanos Winery Mandilaria. Grape variety Mandilaria 100%. Plumy red color with violet hints. Aromas of fig, sour cherry, carnation flowers, vanilla, and a sense of strawberry marmalade. Medium body with firm tannins and an earthy character that reveals the unique terroir of Santorini. Aftertaste with aromas of charred wood, and roasted nuts.
Decanting is recommended. Potential aging more than 8 years. Enjoy it at 14-16 °C.
After 4-5 days of maceration, the free-run must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation for the 60 % of the must is finished in 225 lt barrels and for the 40 % in stainless steel tank. After several months of maturation, the final blend is bottled.
