Ktima Biblia Chora Etos Merlot. This is a new addition to Ktima Biblia Chora’s wine selections. Etos is aged for a long period and is only produced in selected years of exceptional quality.
It originates from the best vineyards on the estate, with a low yield per hectare and an emphasis on the typical characteristics of the varietal and the region of Pangeon.
Once it has spent the first stage of its life in new French oak barrels, it is allowed to continue ageing in the winery’s cellars, for release 10 years after production.
Ktima Biblia Chora Etos Merlot 2006 was first released in 2016. The year 2006 brought an excellent crop of the Merlot varietal, which is cultivated on the limestone and clay soils in the estate’s vineyards.
The wine is a dense ruby color with aromas of red fruit (plum), alternating harmoniously with notes of cedar, spices, vanilla, dark chocolate and nutmeg.
It has a rich mouth-feel with generous, robust tannins, good structure and an intensely fruity and long finish.
Ktima Biblia Chora Etos Merlot is available in a wooden box of 3 bottles, in limited quantities.
We recommend decanting it shortly before consuming.
Food pairing beef fillet, leg of pork, wild boar with plums, aged cheeses.
