The particular Chichibu expression is a recent addition to the distillery’s Peated range, in the form of a single cask heavily peated whisky, originally distilled in 2012, and bottled in 2016 at 54.5% ABV cask strength. Despite the intense smoke, a subtle hint of gentle fruit brings forth a wonderful smoothness and balance.
