Terra Olympus Rapsani Terra Petra
Terra Olympus Rapsani Terra Petra. A Blend of three red varieties of the region Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto. Grown on schist, and unfiltered. Medium ruby garnet. Intense tar and violets. Medium acid. Sweet, soft and gentle aromatically. Medium high astringency. The mouth follows the nose.
The aftertaste is long and very delicious.
Excellent pairing for game with red sauces, pepper fillets, slow cooked meats.
Rapsani is a coastal Protected Denomination of Origin on the southern foothills of Mount Olympus, the home of the gods in Greek mythology. The mountainous, sunny terroir in this part of Thessalia is well suited to the production of red wine.. A structured, dense blend of Xinomavro, Stavroto and Krasato is the specialty of the region and the sole wine permitted under the PDO rules.
