Description
Ktima Biblia Chora Areti Red
Ktima Biblia Chora Areti Red is the first wine made from Greece’s Agiorgitiko grape cultivated outside the variety’s traditional home in the PDO Nemea region.
Cold maceration at 6°C for a few days is followed by conventional red winemaking and 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels.
This is a deep ruby colored wine with violet hues. Serve cellar cool at 16-18°C. It is ready now but will keep at least a decade.
Nose: Its dense aromas of wild cherry, cherry marmalade and mulberry, combined with hints of chocolate, vanilla and spice, make Areti Red an exquisite varietal example of Agiorgitiko.
Palate: This oaked dry red wine continues to allure in the mouth, which is packed with ripe juicy fruit and luscious, round tannins.
Pairings: Areti Red is a perfect match to rich fare such as roast lamb or braised beef but also cold cuts and aged cheeses.
